Questionnaires are a great way of assessing people's interests, attitudes and knowledge, particularly if they can be built based on a growing database of questions specific to your organization. And they can be very cost-effective if you can do that internally, with a software-driven system that helps you record questions, build questionnaires, assign them and track responses. These are the kinds of features large e-learning systems have, though, so that may be too complex or too expensive or most non-tech companies. Impel's Test Center includes the following features.

  • Build a question-bank of questions in various languages, categories, types and difficulty-levels and assign a score to each question.
  • Set up answers for each question in a multiple-choice model, marking the right answer(s).
  • Set up a questionnaire that includes multiple sections, each section being filled either manually or automatically.
  • Assign a time-frame for the questionnaire to be available and the duration, in number of minutes, that a respondent has to complete the questionnaire in.
  • Select a language for the questionnaire, so that it is rendered in the appropriate language for the user when s/he takes it.
  • Choose and add questions from the question-bank into the manually-filled sections and identify difficulty levels and categories for auto-filled sections.
  • Assign questionnaires to specific users in the organization, identifying whether they need to take the questionnaire themselves or forward it to others who report to them.
  • Take a questionnaire and complete your responses online, within the duration defined.
  • Report on scores across departments, groups of users, etc.
  • Assign permissions to specific users to be able to contribute and manage the question bank, questionnaires, etc.
